Exhibition Profile
Being held annually since 1992, the largest international autumn food show with its grown-up reputation and traditions, is used by most domestic and foreign manufacturers and distributors as a tool for introducing their brands to the Russian market. This event has become a usual meeting place for food industrialists and professionals.

Co-located Shows
WORLD FOOD MOSCOW is incorporating the following shows to be held on the same venue:

- WORLD SWEETS MOSCOW 2005 : World Sweets Moscow 2005 is the most important confectionery exhibition in Russia. It will give the sweets, confectionery and bakery companies the opportunity to exhibit together in their own exhibition with the backup of WOLRD FOOD.

- WORLD DRINKS RUSSIA 2005 : World Drinks Russia was incorporated into World Food Moscow for the first time in 2002, having previously run as a successful stand alone event for 5 years. Although it had already established itself as the leading international specialized drinks and beverage exhibition in Russia, it grew even stronger with the added value of the strong World Food brand name and the benefits from co-location such as the cross over of visitors.

-WORLD SEAFOOD RUSSIA 2005(dedicated to the fish and seafood industry) and TABACEX

1400 companies from 39 countries. Visitors Profile
Over 50 043 professionals including importers, distributors, dealers, supermarket / restaurant decision-makers, trading companies, wholesale customers, manufacturers and consumers from the largest cities and all the Russian regions including Nizhni Novgorod, Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg and Volgograd, as well as CIS and overseas countries, visited the show in 2004.

Special Events
Conferences: A high-level international business conference programme will run concurrently with the show. Company Seminars: Seminar rooms are available for exhibitors who wish to address an audience about their products and reinforce their presence in the Russian market. Seminars are the perfect opportunity to launch new products and to promote awareness. Gala Dinner: The organisers will be hosting a Gala Reception for exhibitors and their guests. Attending VIP guests will include key Ministerial and Embassy Officials, trade associations, editors of trade magazines, key buyers and distributors and industry professionals. The Gala Reception provides the perfect setting for exhibitors to relax, entertain and continue to build crucial business relationships.

2001: 525 companies from 44 countries exhibited at the show, it was visited by 47.000 professionals. 2002: 14600 m2 of exhibition space (38% more than in 2001); 850 exhibitors from 39 countries; 50398 visitors; 14 National Pavilions. 2003: 18000 m2 of exhibition space (net); 1150 exhibitors from 43 countries; 51479 visitors; 27 National Pavilions. 2004: 25.000 sqm of exhibition space (net); 1400 exhibitors from 39 countries; 50043 visitors; 21 National Pavilions organized by leading food export associations. This demonstrates the surprising recovery of the Russian economy from 1998 and the gigantic potential of the food and drink Russian market, which attracts more and more companies of the whole world every year.

Competitions and Awards
Tasting Contest "Product of the Year": By order of the RF Ministry of Agriculture, the show will comprise a «Product of the Year» tasting contest followed by winner awarding ceremony. In 2004 852 samples of 273 participants were submitted to the contest. The winners were awarded with gold (77), silver (74), bronze (63) medals and diplomas (64). 14 companies were awarded with Grand-Prix.
